NOTE:
ATTENTION: This correction should be performed on all vehicles currently in your inventory that are included in the Administrative Message (U.S.) or Dealer Communication (Canada) VIN list prior to sale or delivery. In Canada, the Dealer Communication and VIN list is distributed to affected dealers only.
Condition
Some of the subject vehicles may exhibit a slight engine idle RPM flare if all of the following conditions are met:
- cold start
- transmission shifted quickly
- accelerator depressed quickly
- accelerator released quickly
Correction
Reprogram the PCM using a Tech 2 scan tool with the calibration update from Techline Information System (TIS) 2000 data version 9.75 or later, broadcast to dealers on September 26, 2004; and on TIS CD-ROM version 10 for 2004, scheduled for mailing to dealers by October 18, 2004.
