Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Position the sensor to the vehicle and install the sensor fasteners.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Driver) or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Passenger) in Doors.
  4. Enable the roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 8 .
