Installation Procedure

  1. Remove the caps from the chassis fuel pipe and the fuel rail pipe.
  2. Connect the fuel feed hose (2) to the chassis fuel pipe (3). Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar) .
  3. Connect the fuel feed hose (2) to the fuel rail (1). Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Metal Collar) .

  5. Tighten the fuel filler cap.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (7.0L) in Engine Electrical.
  7. Perform the following procedure in order to inspect for leaks:
    1. Turn the ignition switch ON for 2 seconds.
    2. Turn the ignition switch OFF for 10 seconds.
    3. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
  8. Install the left fuel rail cover.
  9. Program the transmitters. Refer to Transmitter Programming (Domestic and Japan) or Transmitter Programming (Export - Including Canada) in Keyless Entry.
