Installation Procedure

  1. Install the ignition coil.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the ignition coil mounting bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the ignition coil mounting bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  3. Connect the spark plug wire at the ignition coil.
  4. Connect the ignition coil harness connector.

    Tighten:  Tighten the harness bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  5. Install the fuel rail cover.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (7.0L) in Engine Electrical.
  7. Program the transmitters. Refer to Transmitter Programming (Domestic and Japan) or Transmitter Programming (Export - Including Canada) in Keyless Entry.
