Installation Procedure

  1. Install the ignition switch assembly (3) to the steering column (1).
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the retaining screws (2) to the ignition switch assembly (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 4 N.m(36 lb in).

  3. Install the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement (Without Key)  or Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement (With Key) .
  4. Install the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
  5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable.
