Power Steering Cooler Replacement

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
Fastener Tightening Specifications:  Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  2. Remove the radiator air baffle and deflector-side. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle and Deflector Replacement - Side .
  3. Remove the radiator air baffle and deflector-upper. Refer to Radiator Air Baffle and Deflector Replacement - Upper .
1 Power Steering Hose at the Power Steering Pump Cooler Clamp (Qty: 2)
Tip: 
  1. Using the appropriate tool, drain the power steering pump reservoir.
  2. Install a cap or a plug in the power steering hoses.
  3. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  4. Replace the rubber power steering cooler hoses if needed.

Tighten:  10 N.m (89 lb in)
2 Power Steering Cooler Mounting Bolt (Qty: 2)

Tighten:  9 N.m (80 lb ft)
3 Power Steering Cooler
Tip:  Remove the cooler from the bottom of the vehicle.
