Removal Procedure

- Raise the vehicle and provide suitable support. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
in General Information.
- Remove the tire and wheel assemblies. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
in Tires and Wheels.
- Remove the strut from the vehicle. Refer to Strut Assembly Replacement
in Rear Suspension.
- Place the strut in a vise and file the upper strut-to-knuckle hole lateral (oblong). Compare the appearance of the holes before filing (2) with after filing (3).
