Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the trim covers from the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the ignition switch electrical connector.
    4. Fig 1: Ignition Key Alarm Switch, Lock Cylinder, Ignition Switch, Cylinder Case, Case Clamp And Bolts

  4. Remove the 2 screws (8,9) and the ignition switch (7).
