Component Testing
IMPORTANT:
It is recommended that component testing is performed before circuit testing when diagnosing infotainment unit functions.
- Connect the scan tool to the DLC and select Infotainment System / Audio System / Actuator Test / Display / Illumination Mode .
- Ignition On, infotainment unit On.
- Select day illumination mode by pressing the Day soft key on the scan tool. The infotainment unit illumination should set to maximum brightness.
- Select night illumination mode by pressing the Night soft key on the scan tool. The infotainment unit illumination should dim significantly.
- Press the Quit soft key to exit the test.
- If the illumination mode function does not operate correctly, replace the infotainment unit.
