Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the alternator. Refer to Generator Replacement (3.6L Engine)  or Generator Replacement (6.0L Engine) .
    2. Fig 1: Identifying Alternator Mounting Bracket To Cylinder Block Retaining Bolts

  2. Remove the coolant inlet pipe to alternator mounting bracket retaining nut (3).
  3. Remove the alternator mounting bracket to cylinder block retaining bolts (4).
  4. Remove the alternator mounting bracket (2) from the cylinder block (1).
