Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution .
    CAUTION: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution .
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
    2. CAUTION: Refer to Exhaust Service Caution .
  2. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (6.0L Engine)  or Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (3.6L Engine) , Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (6.0L Engine)  or Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (3.6L Engine) .

  3. Remove the front exhaust foil heat shield to body retaining bolts (2).
  4. Remove the front exhaust foil heat shield (1).
