Circuit/System Verification
- With the scan tool perform the Steering Angle Sensor Centering procedure in EBCM VSES scan tool special functions.
- If DTC C0253 resets, test or replace the steering angle sensor.
- Ignition ON, observe the ABS DTCS function in EBCM VSES scan tool data display.
- Does any DTC other than DTC C0253 reset. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- Test drive the vehicle refer to Diagnostic Test Drive .
- If DTC C0253 resets, test or replace the EBCM.
