Removal Procedure

  1. Drain engine coolant.
  2. Remove engine cover.

  4. Remove air cleaner cap sub-assembly with hose.
  5. Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.
  6. Separate the 2 wire harness clamps.

  8. Disconnect the NO. 1 vacuum switching valve connector and the 2 vacuum hoses.

  10. Disconnect the ventilation hose.

  12. Loosen the NO. 1 air cleaner hose clamp, and unlock the 3 air cleaner assembly clamps and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with NO. 1 hose.

  14. Remove throttle body assembly.
  15. Disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses.

  17. Disconnect the throttle body assembly connector.

  19. Disconnect the throttle body hose.

  21. Remove the 4 bolts and throttle body assembly.

  23. Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.
