912 E & 914

  1. With engine at normal operating temperature, connect exhaust probe of exhaust gas analyzer to test connection in front of converter. On 2.0L engine, disconnect and plug air injection hose at air pump. Take CO% level reading. If not to specifications, adjust idle CO% level.
  2. Connect exhaust probe and reconnect air injection on 2.0L engine. Reading at tailpipe should be within specifications and lower than value in front of converter. If not, converter is defective and must be replaced.
