Disassembly (928S)

  1. With steering wheel unlocked and circlip and support removed, pull intermediate and steering shaft down and out of column tube. Remove universal joint set screw and disconnect intermediate shaft from steering shaft with a mallet.
  2. If steering shaft has 3 bearings, remove only center bearing if damaged, using a pipe. Replacement bearings are not available. Drive upper steering shaft from tube.
