Combination Switch: Removal

1. Ensure front wheels are in straight-ahead position. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  . Remove steering wheel. See STEERING WHEEL & HORN PAD  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove steering column trim panel.
2. Disconnect contact unit electrical connectors. Remove screws securing contact unit to combination switch and remove contact unit. See Fig 1 . Disconnect combination switch electrical connectors and remove combination switch from steering column.
