Fault code 1042: Diagnosis/troubleshooting
NOTE:
The brake, parking and direction indicator lights are incorrectly actuated if the coding is incorrect, e.g. if there is a mix-up between RoW and USA (North America). This leads to a fault entry in the trailer hitch control module and possibly also in the vehicle electrical system control module.
