ATEQ TPMS Reset Procedure

NOTE: The TPMS3 cannot be used to register the TPMS sensors, or reset the TPMS.
NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and connected, the tyre pressure is first displayed as "- - - ". The vehicle must be driven for a short distance, and the actual pressures will then be displayed again.
NOTE: If the old wheels are still in the vicinity after assembly work (for example changing winter tires and/or wheels from another vehicle with compatible TPMS hardware), these will still be detected by the system. If one or more of these wheels has a minimum pressure of more than 7 psi below the required pressure, this can trigger a warning in the instrument cluster. In this case, remove the other wheels or use the PIWIS Tester to tune the vehicle to be outside the radio range of these wheels.

The TPMS begins to "learn" the wheels after a wheel change, wheel transmitter replacement or update of tire settings. During this process, the TPMS recognizes the tires and their locations. The on-board computer displays the message "TPC INACTIVE - SYSTEM LEARNING".

The TPMS requires a certain amount of time to learn the wheels. During this time, the current tire pressure are not available on the on-board computer. The wheel learning process takes place exclusively when vehicle is being driven.

Before starting the test drive (with "ignition on"), select the mounted set of wheels under Main menu > Tyre pressure > Settings  in the instrument cluster. The control unit then learns the wheel positions again while you drive the vehicle.

The system starts learning as soon as you accelerate above 16 mph (25 km/h). The learning time is normally about 30 seconds, but can take several minutes when the vehicle is driven in a metallic environment (e.g. multi-storey car park, bridge and other concrete, highly metallic surfaces).
