Fault code 1044: Diagnosis/troubleshooting

NOTE:
After recoding or coding for the first time and carrying out the test drive, read out the fault memory again using the 9588 Porsche System Tester II. Additional causes of faults that could damage the electronic unit in the steering column switch should be detected and remedied.
