If the control unit for the air-conditioning control system is replaced, it must be programmed using the Porsche System Tester. This adapts the control unit to the vehicle and equipment.
Before the control unit is removed and replaced, a read-out of the codes must be obtained from the Porsche System Tester (if possible).
During coding, it is essential to guarantee the power supply for the Porsche System Tester. A battery charger with a current rating of at least 40 A must be connected to the vehicle battery.

The Porsche System Tester instructions take precedence and in the event of a discrepancy these are the instructions that must be followed. Deviations may occur with later software versions.

Connect the Porsche System Tester to the vehicle and start the System Tester. Switch on the ignition and press [>>] to continue.
Select the vehicle type using the cursor keys and press [>>] to continue.
An automatic control unit search must be performed.
Select Air conditioning with the cursor keys and press the [>>] key.
Select Calibration with the cursor keys and press the [>>] key.
Follow the instructions on the Tester.
Select Coding and press the [>>] key.
Select the corresponding equipment variant with the cursor keys and write coding by pressing [F8].
Follow the instructions on the Tester.
Exit the menu, switch off ignition, switch it back on, and read out the fault memory again.
