Evaporative Emissions System: Description

All Renault vehicles are equipped with a Fuel Vapor Recuperation System which is designed to prevent fuel vapors from being emitted into the atmosphere. Components of the system are a non-vented fuel tank filler cap, an expansion tank, a carbon canister filled with activated charcoal, a control valve (built into the carburetor float chamber), and a series of ventilation lines which are used to connect the various components.
