Exhaust Emissions System - Thermostatic Air Cleaners: Operation

Below 43°F (8°C) only heated air will flow into the engine, as the thermostat will close off cold air entry. Above 64°F (18°C), only cold air will enter. Between these temperatures, a blending of heated and cooled air will occur.
