ISAT PROGRAM BOARD

A new ISAT program board has been developed to support 1992 model applications and to provide capacity for future requirements. The new board is redesigned and incorporates an additional memory module which expands ISAT's memory capabilities, permitting multiple languages on one board. Note the exchange procedures below for the board.

ETS CONDENSER CABLE

An adapter cable is required for calibrating the Electronic Throttle System (ETS) with ISAT. The cable ensures continued ISAT communication while the engine is started during the ETS calibration procedure. The ETS Condenser Cable should be stored in the ISAT carrying case.

These tools have been designated as required special tools and will be automatically shipped to all dealers.

EXCHANGE PROCEDURE

PROGRAM BOARD REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE

  1. Remove the screw in the bottom end cover and slide the cover off.
  2. Slide the 9V battery out and disconnect it from the ISAT.
  3. Form a removal tool by bending a hook in one end of a piece of stiff wire. Hook the wire into the hole in the left side of the program board (Fig 3 ) and carefully grasp the right side of the board with a pair of flat-nosed pliers. Pull the board back with the hook while using the pliers to keep it from cocking.
  4. Slide the new board carefully into the tester and press it firmly into the socket.
  5. Reconnect the battery and slide it back into the tester. Fasten the cover back in place with the screw.
