Steering Wheel: Installation
- To ensure clockspring is set in middle position, align front wheels to straight-ahead position. Rotate clockspring clockwise until it stops and then counterclockwise 3 1/2 turns.
- Thread air bag module and horn wiring harnesses through hole in steering wheel. Slide steering wheel onto shaft, aligning match marks on shaft and wheel and aligning clockspring with hole in wheel.
- Install and tighten steering wheel nut to 24-32 ft. lbs. (33-43 N.m). Connect air bag module and horn pad electrical connectors. Install screws on back of steering wheel. Reconnect battery. Start engine and ensure SRS warning light comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
