A/C Clutch Relay (900 Turbo)
- Remove relay from relay panel. Relay panel is located under hood, on left side. Measure and record resistance between relay terminals No. 3 (Red Wire) and No. 5 (Black wire). Transpose ohmmeter leads, and measure resistance between same terminals. Replace relay if resistance is not high for one mea-surement and low for the other.
- Inspect for continuity between relay terminals No. 30 (Yellow wire) and No. 87B (Red wire). Replace relay if continuity exists.
- Inspect for continuity between relay terminals No. 30 (Yellow wire) and No. 87 (Green wire). Replace relay if continuity exists.
- Connect one lead of ohmmeter to terminal No. 30 (Yellow wire). Connect relay terminal No. 15 (Green/White wire) to battery voltage. Connect terminal No. 31 (Black wire) to ground.
- Momentarily connect terminal No. 50 (Yellow wire) to battery voltage. Connect terminal No. 86 (Blue/White wire) to battery voltage. Relay should click in about 10 seconds.
- Connect remaining ohmmeter lead, in turn, to terminals No. 87B (Red wire) and No. 87 (Blue wire). Ohmmeter should indicate continuity at both terminals.
- Measure voltage between terminal No. 14 (Red/White wire) and ground. DVOM should indicate battery voltage.
- Measure voltage between terminal TK (Blue wire) and ground. DVOM should indicate battery voltage. Replace relay if voltage or resistance measurements are not as specified.
