Brake Switch
- Turn ignition off. Remove left underdash panel to gain access to brake switch. Brake switch is located at top of brake pedal lever. Connect a voltmeter between ground and brake switch terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Gray wire). Battery voltage should be present. If battery voltage is not present, check for open circuit between terminal No. 2 and brake switch fuse No. 17 (10 amp).
- Disconnect brake switch connector. Connect an ohmmeter between brake switch terminals No. 1 (Violet wire) and No. 2 (Yellow/Gray wire). With brake pedal released, resistance should be infinite. With brake pedal depressed, resistance should be zero ohms. If resistance is not as specified, replace brake switch.
