BACKGROUND

New software in the SID necessitates a different way of resetting the message "TIME FOR SERVICE" with the SID CLEAR button.

Note that the normal procedure can be adopted by using Tech 2.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

To reset the "TIME FOR SERVICE" message on the SID (without using Tech 2), follow the instructions below:

  1. Press the CLEAR button once.
  2. Press the CLEAR button again and hold it down for at least 8 seconds.

    The SID will sound an acoustic signal and shortly afterwards another one. After the second signal, "SERVICE" will start flashing.

  3. Restart to check that the message has been reset.
