Heating pad, backrest: Changing

  1. Remove the backrest upholstery, see UPHOLSTERY, BACKREST .

    There is no need to remove the head restraint, staples or any connectors for the backrest adjustment.

    NOTE: Wear gloves when working with benzine.
  2. Detach the heating pad from the seat cushion using benzine.

    Be careful to ensure that large pieces of padding do not come away.

  3. Unplug the connector for the seat heating and cut the cable ties.
  4. Wipe the foam rubber cushion before fitting the new heating pad.
  5. Pull off the backing paper on the new heating pad.
  6. Position the new pad on the foam cushion and press.
    NOTE: Ensure that the wiring harness sits correctly.
  7. Secure the cable with cable ties.
  8. Plug in the connector for the seat heating.
  9. Fit the upholstery fabric, see TO FIT .
