Remove the MacPherson strut and clamp it in a vice.
Compress the spring using Spring compressor 88 18 791 and Holder 88 18 817.
Grip the piston rod to prevent it from turning and remove the nut, using tool 89 96 613. The nut is of self-locking type and must not be reused.

Remove the bearing and upper spring seat.

Remove the spring, rubber gaiter and compression stop.
