To remove

  1. Take the front seat out of the car, see FRONT SEAT  .
  2. Undo the straps holding the backrest upholstery at the bottom.

    Undo the cables and cable ties. Extract the cables from the hole.

  3. Release the upholstery strips on the underside.
  4. Pull out the sheet from the backrest upholstery.
  5. Undo the rear of the backrest upholstery by releasing the upholstery strips along the sides and folding back the upholstery.

  6. Release the upholstery strips along one side at the rear of the backrest frame.
  7. Remove the knob for the lumbar support adjustment.
  8. Detach the upholstery hooks in the underside of the backrest.
  9. Fold aside the upholstery and cushion at the side of the backrest.
  10. Unscrew the motor for the backrest adjustment, 2 screws.

  11. Lift the motor off the gear wheel.
  12. Unplug the connector for the backrest adjustment motor.
