Check Key Warning Switch Circuit

Disconnect the keyless entry control unit harness connector.

Insert the key into the ignition switch. (LOCK position)

Measure the voltage between the harness connector terminal and chassis ground.

Connector & terminal 

(B176) No. 7 (+) - Chassis ground (- ): 

Is the voltage more than 10 V? 

YES. Go to  CHECK KEY WARNING SWITCH CIRCUIT  . 

NO. Go to  CHECK KEY WARNING SWITCH  . 

Remove the key from the ignition switch.

Measure the voltage between the harness connector terminal and chassis ground.

Connector & terminal 

(B176) No. 7 (+) - Chassis ground (- ): 

Is the voltage 0 V? 

YES 

Key warning switch is OK.

NO. Go to  CHECK KEY WARNING SWITCH  .
