To remove

Remove the battery .
Remove the battery's air inlet pipe.

Cars with petrol engine: Press in the catch and move aside the fuse box in front of the battery.
Cars with diesel engine: Press in the catch and move aside the power steering fluid reservoir.

Loosen the catches and move aside the heat shield, letting any components remain on the heat shield.

Cars with theft protection: Detach the bonnet switch from the battery cover.

Undo any wiring harness clips from the battery cover.
Remove the bottom of the battery cover.
Remove the cable's nut and bolt.
