Bus Message, Audio Navigation System

The head unit uses the following information 

VALUE INFORMATION CHART

Information Value Off The value is dependent on the following sensor input, signal or function
Ignition +B ON/OFF DICE Ignition switch. The head unit uses the +B information only as logic voltage.
Key Correct ON/OFF TWICE Immobilization function. The head unit uses the information for the audio system's theft protection function.
CD changer information Current settings CDC Information on current CD and its location.
Vehicle speed km/h, mph MIU RL wheel speed. The head unit uses the information for the function "SPEED-DEPENDENT VOLUME ".
Steering wheel controls Seek >>, Seek <<, Vol +, Vol -, NXT, SRC SID The buttons' control module input. The head unit uses the information to control the function (perform the command) selected with the steering wheel switches.
Rheostat level 0-100% SID Rheostat control module input. The head unit uses the information to control the brightness of the head unit's front lighting.
Rheostat Night Panel 0-100% SID Rheostat control module input is reduced with a fixed value. The head unit uses the information to control Night Panel light brightness on the head unit's front lighting.
Night panel ON/OFF SID Button. The head unit uses the information to activate or deactivate "Night Panel". When activated, the light intensity of the head unit illumination is reduced and the touchscreen turned off.
Display lighting 0-100% SID Rheostat control module input or light sensor, highest value. The head unit uses the information to control brightness on the head unit's front lighting.
Wheel speed 0-300 km/h TC/ABS RL wheel speed sensor
Diagnostics communication   DICE The control module must be live and the bus leads intact. For further information on the bus, see BUS AND DIAGNOSTICS COMMUNICATION .

Information Value Used by The value is dependent on the following sensor input, signal or function
GPS time Hours, Minutes, Seconds SID GPS reception. The SID uses the information for the time function (clock).
GPS date 0-31 SID GPS reception. The SID uses the information for the time function (clock).
GPS month January - December SID GPS reception. The SID uses the information for the time function (clock).
CD changer control Information for controlling the CD changer CDC Buttons on the panel. The CD changer uses the information from the head unit to control the selected function of the CD changer.
Diagnostics communication - DICE The control module must be live and the bus leads intact. For further information on the bus, see BUS AND DIAGNOSTICS COMMUNICATION .
