Removal Procedure

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .

    CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution .
  2. Remove the steering wheel from the column. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement .
  3. Remove the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly. Refer to Turn Signal Multifunction Switch Replacement .
  4. Remove the windshield washer switch assembly. Refer to Wipers/Washer Switch Replacement .
  5. Remove the turn signal cancel cam. Refer to Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Steering Shaft Upper Bearing Spring Replacement .
  6. Slide the turn signal switch housing off of the steering column shaft assembly.
