Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the engine oil. Refer to ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT .
  2. Remove the engine front cover. Refer to ENGINE FRONT COVER REPLACEMENT .
  3. Remove the oil filter adapter. Refer to OIL FILTER ADAPTER REPLACEMENT .
  4. Remove the air conditioning (A/C) compressor bolts and reposition. Refer to AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR REPLACEMENT (LAU/A28NER) .
  5. Remove the 4 oil pan to transmission fasteners.

  6. Remove the oil pan. Refer to OIL PAN REMOVAL .
  7. Clean the oil pan and the engine block gasket surface. Refer to OIL PAN CLEANING AND INSPECTION .
