Preliminary Procedure  Raise the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE . Ensure the vehicle is in level. Inspect the rear axle for leaks, repair if necessary.
1	Lubricant Fill Plug Refer to FASTENER CAUTION . Procedure  Clean the area around the rear axle fill plug. Add lubricant until the level is even with the bottom edge of the fill plug opening. Use the proper fluid. Refer to ADHESIVES, FLUIDS, LUBRICANTS, AND SEALERS . Tighten  25 Nm (18 lb ft)
2	Lubricant Drain Plug Tighten  25 Nm (18 lb ft)
