Power Window Motor: Removal

1. Remove regulator. See WINDOW REGULATOR  .
NOTE: Do not drill through lift arm attaching portion of sector as this will adversely effect joint integrity.
2. Drill a hole through the regulator sector gear and bookplate. Install a bolt and nut to lock sector gear in position. Do not drill the hole closer than 7/16" (11 mm) to the edge of the sector gear.
3. Using a 1/4" drill bit, drill out the ends of all 3 motor-to-regulator attaching rivets from the motor side of the assembly.
NOTE: Depending on the position of the regulator, it may be necessary to remove portions of one remaining rivet later.
4. Remove motor from regulator and the remaining portions of the rivets.
