Diagnostic Aids
WARNING:
When replacing motor pack, DO NOT place hands near motor pack modulator gears. Gears may have enough preload tension to cause personal injury.
- Connect Tech 1 scan tester. Perform ABS motor tension release special test before removing motor pack.
- ABS will initialize when vehicle is driven at least 8 MPH (13 km/h).NOTE: System initialization alternates between left front/rear and right front/rear with each ignition cycle.
- When diagnosing intermittent problems, select MALF HISTORY from Tech 1 scan tester ABS menu. Supplemental data can be used to duplicate problem.
