Instrument Cluster Inoperative/Inaccurate
- Remove instrument cluster and place it upside down on anti-static mat. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Perform all resistance checks for suspect gauge between connector terminals noted in INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GAUGE CIRCUIT CONTINUITY CHECK table. See Fig 1 . Fuel and coolant temperature gauge checks should be made between metal clips that connect gauge to printed circuit board and specified terminal.
- Ensure measured resistance for all checks is equal to or less than one ohm. If any resistance check is greater than one ohm, replace printed circuit board.
