Transaxle Range Switch: Installation

  1. Ensure transaxle manual shaft is in NEUTRAL position. Align flats on transaxle range switch with flats on manual shaft. Install transaxle range switch and loosely install retaining bolts.
  2. Place Range Switch Aligner (J41545) on manual shaft and rotate until aligner drops into position. Tighten transaxle range switch retaining bolts to 15 ft. lbs. (20 N.m).
  3. Install transaxle range switch lever. Tighten retaining nut to 26 ft. lbs. (35 N.m). Connect harness connector. Install shift control cable. Check switch operation.
