Circuit Description

The Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor measures amount of air ingested by engine. ECM calculates mass airflow based on engine speed and throttle valve position. This value is continuously compared to reading from MAF. DTC will set when signal voltage is greater than expected.

DTC will set when following conditions exist:

• Battery voltage greater than 11 volts.
• Engine running for greater than 300 milliseconds.
• No TP sensor DTC is set.
