Circuit Description
The electronic throttle control body controls engine idle by allowing controlled amount of air to enter intake manifold. Actual idle speed is continuously compared to commanded idle speed. DTC will set if actual speed is at least 100 RPM less than commanded value.
DTC will set when:
- IAT greater than 93°F (34°C).
- ECT greater than 176°F (80°C).
- EVAP diagnostic not running.
- Vehicle speed at zero MPH.
- Actual engine speed less than 100 RPM from desired RPM.
- No TP, VSS, ECT, IAT, EVAP DTCs set.
