"W" Body (Intrigue)
- Set parking brake and block wheels. Turn ignition switch to ACC position. Ensure gearshift lever is in "P" position. Open console storage lid and open cup holder to remove front floor console trim panel. Remove center console trim panel. See Fig 1.

- Disconnect park lock cable from console shift control. Open lock on adjuster body by prying up with a flat-bladed screwdriver. See Fig 1. Move adjuster body so that one more rib is visible on cable, then depress lock on adjuster body. Connect park lock cable to console shift control. Ensure park lock system operates correctly.
- Ensure ignition switch can be moved to LOCK position when gearshift lever is in "P" position only and gearshift lever can only be moved out of "P" position when ignition switch in ACC or ON position. If operation is not correct, repeat step 2. If operation is correct, reverse removal procedures for center console trim panel and recheck operation.
