Engine Lubrication System: Notes
Oil pump is located in front engine cover and is driven by the crankshaft. Oil flows through a full-flow canister-type filter to oil passages which feed main bearings, rod bearings and valve train. See Fig 1.
NOTE:
When changing canister-type oil filter cartridge, ensure "O" ring is not cut or damaged. Replace "O" ring if necessary. See Fig 1.
