Circuit Description
The electronic throttle control body controls engine idle by allowing controlled amount of air to enter intake manifold. Actual idle speed is continuously compared to commanded idle speed. DTC will set if actual speed is at least 200 RPM greater than commanded value, or if vehicle has experienced fuel cut-off more than 3 times during one minute period.
DTC will set when:
- IAT greater than 93°F (34°C).
- ECT greater than 176°F (80°C).
- EVAP diagnostic not running.
- Vehicle speed at zero MPH.
- Actual engine speed greater than 200 RPM from desired RPM.
- No TP, VSS, ECT, IAT, EVAP DTCs set.
