Removal & Installation

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove air cleaner housing cover and air induction hose at throttle body. Remove PCM mounting bolts, harness connector and remove PCM from carrier. PCM is located near left front strut tower.
  2. Clean ABS control module external surfaces with brake cleaner. Disconnect harness connector from ABS module. Remove brake lines from BPMV assembly. Remove ABS/BPMV mounting bolts. Remove assembly from vehicle.
  3. To separate BPMV from ABS control module, remove mounting screws from control module. Pull module straight out of valve body.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure pins are properly aligned between ABS control module and BPMV. Ensure gasket is not damaged. Use Loctite 5900(tm) to repair damaged gasket areas. Replace control module if gasket damage is 5/8" or larger. Tighten all mounting screws to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  table. Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM  .
