Diagnostic Procedures
- Turn ignition on, with engine off. Using scan tool, monitor AIR PUMP SOL. - LOW VOLT or AIR PUMP SOL. - HIGH VOLT test. If scan tool does not indicate TEST FAIL, see DIAGNOSTIC AIDS . If scan tool indicates TEST FAIL, go to next step.
- Disconnect air pump solenoid. Connect Noid Light (SA9194E) to air pump solenoid harness connector. Using scan tool, command air pump solenoid on while monitoring AIR PUMP SOL. - HIGH VOLT test. If scan tool indicates TEST PASS, replace air pump solenoid. If scan tool does not indicate TEST PASS, check circuit (Pink/Black wire) for short to voltage or PCM.
