Resetting Change Oil Soon Telltale Lamp

NOTE: Do not start engine.
NOTE: System must be reset after changing engine oil.
  1. Turn ignition key to RUN position.
  2. Remove underhood fuse block cover.
  3. Press red "OIL-R" button and hold for 5 seconds.

    NOTE: System is reset when CHANGE OIL SOON telltale lamp is flashing. CHANGE OIL SOON telltale lamp will flash for up to 30 seconds or until ignition is turned Off.
  4. Turn ignition key to LOCK position.
  5. Check system reset.
    1. Turn ignition key to RUN position.
    2. Check to see CHANGE OIL SOON telltale lamp turn off after 30 seconds.
  6. Repeat procedure if CHANGE OIL SOON telltale lamp does not turn OFF.
