Preliminary Inspection

Check LOCKS fuse (20-amp) and BODY fuse (10-amp) in instrument panel fuse block. Verify proper operation of power door locks, trunk lid release and interior light systems. Ensure ground connections are clean and tight. Check for proper installation of any aftermarket electronic equipment that may affect integrity of other systems. Try a known good transmitter. If system operates, change batteries in first transmitter and try again. If transmitter still does not operate, it is defective. Ensure transmitter battery terminals are clean and make good contact with battery. If problem is found, repair as necessary. If problem is not found, system check. See SYSTEM CHECK  .
