Code Enable Criteria

• EVAP vent solenoid is commanded on (closed).
• EVAP purge solenoid is commanded off (closed).
• DTC P0440 has run and passed.
• Fuel tank level is 15-85 percent full. To detect less than a 0.04" (1.0 mm) leak, fuel level must be 40-85 percent.
• BARO greater than 81 kPa.
• ECT and IAT at start-up between 41-90°F (5-32°C).
• ECT and IAT within 50°F.
• No ECT, fuel tank pressure, IAT, MAP or VSS DTCs set.
• Ignition voltage is 8-18 volts.

DTC sets when vacuum decay is greater than a calibrated amount based on fuel level indicating a small EVAP leak.

DTC runs once per ignition cycle for a maximum of 240 seconds once enable criteria is met.
